Tarte are a cruelty free brand being recognised by the leaping bunny, but they are owned by Kose who is not a cruelty free company. There is always a lot of debate with cruelty free brands and their parent companies and it is up to the individual to decide their own opinions but my personal opinion is you can only increase change by supporting the companies that are cruelty free to show the demand. Tarte are a cruelty free company, but it is up to you if you decide to not purchase their products due to their connection with Kose.
